2. Heavy-Duty Solid Brass material for both shower arm and escutcheon / flange.

This 8 inch square shower arm is made of 1 inch X 1 inch solid brass pipe.

Flange size is 2.4 inch X 2.4 inch.

 

3. Both sides are Soldered 1/2 NPT Tapered Threads.

Would buy again without hesitation! I'm into square these days and this matches my new square delta shower fixtures perfectly. One word of caution. Have this square arm on site before the tile is cut to go around the arm.
I ordered this product and was very pleased with the quality; however, there was one issue. I posted a review about it and the company quickly emailed me. I found out that the issue I had was something of my fault and not of the product. Due to my error, they voluntarily sent me a replacement at no cost. When it arrived, I received a personal letter from them with the replacement piece PLUS a very nice free add-on handheld shower harm with a matching head to my existing one. I was amazed with their customer service. The product is great and customer service just makes it even better!
